Roshanak Shafiiha
received her B.S. degree in Electronics Engineering in 1997. She
then obtained M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering in 1999 from the
University of Southern California. Currently she is a Ph.D. student in
Electrical Engineering, working under supervision of Professor John
O'Brien in Microphotonic Devices Group of the University of Southern
California. Her research is on design and fabrication of photonic
crystal slab waveguides, as well as theoretical and experimental
analysis of superprism phenomena in 1D and 2D photonic crystals, and its
applications in beam-steering.
