Mahmood  received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology ,Tehran ,Iran in 2002. .Currently he is a PhD candidate in EE-Electrophysics, working under supervision of Professor John O'Brien in Microphotonic Devices Group of the University of Southern California. His research focuses on characterization of dynamic properties of photonic crystal microcavity lasers.
